What type of subtitles are you using? Is perhaps VobSub also active when playing the movie?

hi when use subtitle time corrections, (i.e. retard for 2 seg) using shift+ left the time display of retardation is 2 seg but the real retardation is 2 msg therefore most to slow dowwn it but :?:
