Crash with BSI files

Hello there !

I get BSPlayer to crash when i try to load a BSI file in BSPlayer 1.02

Here is the BSI file :

Directory=.
FName=my_movie.ogm

And the error it generates :

If you click 'Close' application will be terminated.

It produces the error either way i open the file -- by double-clicking it or adding it mannually to the playlist...

I really can't see what causes this problem :/

Do I understand correctly that you try to load a .bsi file in BSPlayer?
The purpose of .bsi (.ini) files is that you double-click on it (from Explorer), which will then start BSplayer and perform its task with the preferences as defined in the bsi-file.
Have a look under BSPlayer's F.A.Q.s or at HWMaker's website. There is some explanation.

I know what .bsi files are supposed to be...

i just meant that I tried to open my file another way when I saw that double-clicking it made BSPlayer crash...

And of course I first tried with a much more complicated file, and then removed all parts that *could* eventually have caused the problem. That's why there are only the mandatory lines left in it...

Does the same video-file play "straight forward" in BSPlayer (without using .bsi)?
If not maybe check out adicoto's list of codecs as linked to in the last line of item 4 of my Help2Help post.

Yes the video file plays well without the .bsi stuff :|

Just asked DragonFighter (of HWMaker) by pm if he could maybe shed some light on this.

I did a little research on this problem and it seems that it is another bsplayer's bug (bsi/ini + ogm files crash bsplayer) .. :(

Ogm files play fine without using ini/bsi files..

Weird.

I'm off ogm for a while though because mkv (matroska) is much more suitable for my needs.
But I cannot remember having had any problems with defining ogm in bsi file which I used a lot.

This isn't the whole ini file you posted here, isn't it?

The update (build 814) doesn't fix that bug.. :?
BSplayer v0.86 opens the bsi file without crashing.. :roll:

P.S: Moreover, build 814 doesn't contain the new updated greek language file.. I guess I've to send it again to bst..
