As far as I know, BSPlayer can't use desktop mode under Vista.

Options->preferencies->autoplay and also "remember last movie position". This way, the last played file will resume on opening BSPlayer.

Or use BS.Player's command line or ini/bsi file options. Maybe first read the two documents in folder "doc" which is within BS.Player's installation folder (to get a general idea).
