Default video files I can't see - only black and sound...

Hello.
This problem is persistent.
I have been able to solve it from time to time, yet withoput knowing exactly how.
Howevfer, this time, it seems to be perminent.

BSplayer doesnt seem to show a lot of movies. especially XVID kind.

example: a file using DivXdec.ax, ehich the GSPOT renderer finds solutions to, cannot be shown in BSplayer.
The sound works fine (due to the excelent help you gave in the sticky "read before posting" AC3 tip), but picture is not shown.

The BSplayer recognizes the file as an XVID file.
In the settings, the video options are grayed, and only have divx3.11, eventhough the computer has up-to-date divx6.5 and xvid.
So i'm guessing the problem is that BSplayer doesnt recognize the codecs?
This is the same for all current videos.

Please help.
thank you very much.

Premshay.

Don't be worried about the greyed out section.
What version/build of BS.Player are we talking about (read item (1) of my Help2Help-post) and especially what codec/filter is used by BS.Player to play your troubled movie?
(see last line of item (3) of my Help2Help-post).

When posting always mention your computer's OS and the version and build number(!) of BS.Player as used by you,
as well as - if applicable and especially when encountering problems - the type(s) of the file(s) mentioned in your post.

Try to uninstall DivX 6 codecs and install DivX 5 instead (or install FFDShow)

Hi,

I have a same problem. I use VISTA. I have just bought the BSplayer.
I uninstall the DivX6 and reinstall the DivX5 but it doesn't help!
The divX player show the movies, but bsplayer still doesn't!
Before I had a codec pack. It is good, but not now.
I really do not know what can I do... Please help.
(Under XP it works FINE!)

Thank you.
