4:3 Movies Have Side Black Bars on 16:9 Monitor |
| ||||
Depress [5] on numeric keyboard to make sure no movie-mode or pan-scan is used. (rightclick >) Options > Preferences > Video > [General] "Cut top and bottom of video in full screen mode"

I'm using a laptop so I have no numeric keyboard. I did check that the "cut top and bottom" setting is checked and playback of this 4:3 movie is unchanged, in windowed or fullscreen I have black bars on the left and right. I had snap player window to screen edges checked, and I don't know if that was affecting things but I unchecked it and there's still no difference.
