Turn off 'hide extensions of known filetypes' first.
When you do that youll see your renamed file is called File.bsz.zip, which wont work.

If your having trouble with codecs i suggest you try my personal codec pack. It contains the fewest codecs to run the most...

Why are you running such an old version? Try updating your bsplayer. The latest plays ogms perfectly for me and for everyone else i know that uses it.

Sounds like the file your trying to get to play is buggered. Try opening it in virtualdub see what that spits back. GSpot while excellent for .avis will not tell you much for .mpeg and .asf, afaik...

The best way to do this is to use ogg audio. This lets you encode multiple audio tracks into the video file and use BSPlayer/other good players to choose which audio track you wanna listen too.

This is an mpeg2 decoder, should allow you to play mpeg2 (svcd) files in bsplayer.

Try that, its an mpeg1/2 decoder that should allow you to play mpeg2 files in bsplayer. Got my flatmate to test it last night and it worked for him.
