problem with BSPlayer & Win media player After installing and uninstalling TMPGEnc I don't have any sound any more. Thesame problem with Windows Media Player - who doesn't recognise any file types any more and the Kazaa player that doesn't give any sound. I already tried to restore to an earlier restauration point but this doen't give a solution. Think the problems are in the codecs but I am afraid to mess this up. any solutions ? Thanks Bart BSPlayer ; 1.00 RC1 build 807 OS : Xp home edition Windows Media Player : 9.00.00.3075 |

In what movies you don't have audio any more ? .avi (divx and xvid) or in .mpg (MPEG1-MPEG2) ? Problem is not generated by TMPGEnc, but in other program you must have installed. So, first of all try to install DivX 3.11 for MP3 sound and AC3Filter for AC3 sound. See what is happening. And tell us. |

thanks for your reply adicoto, but the AC3Filter was already installed, and also the DivX 5.1.1. The BsPlayer plays movies in avi and mpeg format, but no sound Thesame movies and mp3 files can be opened by Winamp - with sound. Win Media player always give thesame error code 0xC00D1199, with explanation that the file could be compressed by using a codec that is not supported by the Player |

I was talking about DivX 3.11 !!! Because it came with a good MP3 decoder. In BSPlayer audio preferenes try to select another output device like Default DirectSound Device. |

:D repairing the quartz.dll solved all my problems. Just went to start/run and typed: %windir%\system32\regsvr32 %windir%\system32\quartz.dll BSPlayer workes fine again and Windows media player too. Thanks BSPeter |
