The list you gave probably represent the codecs as installed on your PC. (Found through View > Installed Codecs ...etc. ?).
"an avi-file" doesn't tell what codec it was created with.
You need to drag and drop the avi-file on GSpot's window (or load it otherwise in GSpot).
GSpot will then tell you at its right hand side which compatible codecs it found for the video-file in question. Further you should click [Render] at the bottom of GSpot's window to see the Video and Audio paths and then you can further "click for details".

Did you try to download and install the latest version of ffdshow by the way as suggested by me?
