Yes, we seem to have the same problem. If I start BSplayer first and then open a file, the main window is visible.

thank you for helping us. The problem is I don't have small files to post here at this time, I will try to find some. I don't use any codecs installed by me, it's a clean Windows XP sp2 install. So I didn't install ffdshow yet, or any other codec pack. So I'm thinking it is a bug in BSPlayer?
Is it ok if I post some names of copyrighted movies? Not links, names.
