The solution is really simple!!! Just buy the Pro version instead of using a cracked one ;) :twisted:

Only with the Pro version or also with the free one??? :shock: :? Try to re-register quartz.dll Otherwise try to use insternal AVI parser (press SHIFT while pressing on "Filter management" item in Preferences window)

I've got a similar problem: Code: BSplayer v2.23.953, Unhandled exception at EIP: 6B8816C6 If you click 'Close' application will be terminated. Please report this info to the author with description what were you doing. If you have internet connection, it's recommended to send error report, this will help us solve problems faster. Access violation at address 6B8816C6 in module 'quartz.dll'. Write of address 6B8816C6 EAccessViolation Call stack: 00000000,6B8816C6,00404943,005A8FBF,005ABCFC,00570D44,0056CF7E,00473BA0,00476AEB,00476768,00428370,0049398B,005C0115 Using the newest free version on Vista 32 bit. As I said, it worked before, but then suddenly it stopped working. :( (Never seen any ad btw, but it might be because of my Anti-Virus programme, which is F-Secure.) |

Try to re-register quartz.dll otherwise uninstall and then reinstall your codecs (I suggest you ffdshow ;) )

How does one do that then? (Reregister the DLL). And I've never understood how to use FFDshow :( EDIT: A search for "quartz" in the BS Player folder returns nothing. BTW, I'm running Win Vista 32bit OEM Finnish. |

"EDIT: A search for "quartz" in the BS Player folder returns nothing. " Try to search for "quartz.dll". Could be under: http://www.bsplayer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12661 FFdshow use: google> find "ffdshow"> click on 1st link on list of hits> download> install> press "Next" until instalation is complete> the end

"Registering it" as done through the previous link didn't work. So I just need to install FFDShow? Oh, OK, I never understood that. :P Will try. :) EDIT: Nah, didn't work. :( I'll uninstall BSPlayer now to get rid of the ads. :( Too bad this isn't free... and if it'd work, I'll probably would've bought the ad free edition. :( |

Probably there is another codec that interfere with ffdshow or other codecs.. Try to use GSpot to know if a video is playable with some of your codecs (install GSpot, load an avi file into it and then try to render the video with the bottom buttons) As an alternative, you can try to use the internal BSplayer AVI parser: Start BSplayer, press CTRL+P (to open preferences window) and then click on "Filters management" item while holding the SHIFT key. Now select the internal parser and try to playback your videos..

Any media?? Try to follow the above steps anyway, they worked for the author of this thread, otherwise try to open your media files into other players and see if you can play them with those players. Anyway GSpot can open many media formats, so try to use it before all of your tests ;)

I can play all my videos with VLC, but I'd much rather use them with BS. :( What I really like about the BS is that it's essentially just the video, no interface and not even a window! |
| |||
If you can play them with VLC the problem is due the codecs you installed or the parser.. Have you tried to use the internal parser as I wrote before? no change? Have you installed Nero? If so then un-register nero filters (just search for them in BSplayer filter manager preferences section and unregister them)
