Default Problem with volume

I've posted my problem a while ago, but no result in solving it. I'd be happy if someone tells me what should I do now.

I use Win XP pro SP2, BSplayer 2.31, K-Lite full codec pack maybe the last before the latest.

So, I got this: I'm watching a video. I turn the volume down, after that I seek forward or backward and the volume immediately returns to 100% automatically.

How can I change that?

Build 974

No, every person I know using BSplayer does not have this problem, no matter what version they use.

The problem is me, but I don't know where to look?

So your problem still remains unsolved since you first posted it almost 10 months ago now. I then thought and now think again it could be caused by (unintentionally) changed settings. So maybe let's rule out that possibility first, using a rough remedy method.
You're under XP so the default location of the file we're looking for is located under:
C:\Documents and Settings\[your_name]\Application Data\BSplayer\
or alternatively if you opted to save it in BS.Player's installation folder it should, by default, be in:
C:\Program Files\Webteh\BSplayer[Pro]\
Anyhow, it concerns the file BSplayer.xml
With BS.Player not active, please rename this file (e.g. to xSettings.xml).
By doing so BS.Player will have lost all its settings (which you may have changed) and BS.Player will upon its next startup simply create a new settings-file BSplayer.xml with all settings at "default".
If your problem continues in BS.Player after that, we have at least ruled out that possibility.
And you can (again with BS.Player inactive) restore your old settings (if you want to), by deleting the new BSplayer.xml settings file and renaming the old file back to BSplayer.xml.
Let's know what happened.

(You're still using the same keyboard as in February of this year?)

Hey, Master. Nice to see you again, helping me. :)

I did this and no result. Brand new settings, but unfortunately my problem remains, so I'm bringing back my old settings. Any other ideas?

P.S. Yeah, I haven't bought a new one. Awkward question, my favorites. :)

This thing can be caused by audio filter or splitter. Can you tell us wich audio filter and splitter are used ? (open the file, rightclick -> options ->filters )
Does this occur only with AVI or MKV too ?

Well... ffdshow audio and video decoders. Plus of course DirectSound of my sound blaster.

I don't have any MKV right now, but I'm almost sure it happens there as well.

These are the three highlighted, others are like "not available".

The grey ones are: AVI splitter, Source

I'm using Creative Audigy 2 ZS.

If you click on advanced, you will have another window that will allow you to click on the grey ones and see the names lf the files (and paths).
If you select in audio options directsound device and not default system ?

Yeeeeah, I didn't try changing these audio options.

It was on directsound:sb, but I changed it to one of the other ones I have there and it worked.

Thanks for the help both @BSPeter and @adicoto! :)

Sorry to open this topic again, but problem is not solved.

It works only with one of the options in the dialog, but I realised that that way bsplayer controls the global sound volume. For example - decreasing volume in bsplayer - decreases volume in winamp, other players and whatever!
