Maybe the video you're playing isn't in a 16:9 ratio? What is the "Video size" info as indicated under (rightclick >) Options > Media info  P.S.: And while we're at it... ...please let us know what is selected under (rightclick >) Video > Aspect ratio and also if .. Video > Keep aspect ratio is selected)
