Unhappy [CONFIRMED] No sound at playback of HD recording (Haali problem?)

Hi Forum,

Bare with me as I am a new user of this program.
My problems are this:
I record Transportstream of my DVB-T settopbox.
My files plays fine in PowerDVD9 and other players like VLC etc

I have tried to change def audio settings still the same.
This is only from files recorded in MP4 channels.
so the codec is H.264 AVC/AAC
Here is the output from mediainfo:

Video seems to be shown, but no audio.
What info is (with your HD-movie loaded!) given for video resp. (and especially) for audio under
(rightclick >) Options > Filters > Advanced
If you click on the [+]-sign(s) you get further info and access.

Red face

I suppose in Haali splitter MP4 support is enabled.
AAC sound could be handled by either ffdshow filter (find it here) or by CoreAAC.
If you perhaps already have ffdshow installed maybe verify that "AAC / libfaad2" is also listed under "Codecs" of "ffdshow audio" (and that it isn't disabled there).
But maybe first give BS.Player's codecmanager a try.
You can find codecmanager.exe in BS.Player's installation folder.
Did you already find and read BS.Player's wiki/faq concerning sound?

Hello,

I really am greatfull for your help and efforts into my problems.
I did read FAQ and installed coreAAC before my post ...
(I am only newbie into this player, if you know what I mean)
The codec is listed as you say.

I think the real problem is that I dont get anything that shows the audio in BSPlayer.
I tried to install BSplayer of my second newly installed XP-sp3 etc.
a fairly fresh installation not used before with multimedia tools.
I installed and codecmgm ran and DL codecs and installed with no errors.
I still get nothing on the sound ... not a thing shows that the stream has been detected at all.
I am starting to believe that this player simply doesnt support my files.
I have placed a 30 mb file here, please DL it and tell me if you can play this file ok ...

Sofar I've been testing (using "standard" filters/codecs installed by BS.Player's codecmanager) with the same result. Haali (v. 1.9.355.21) indeed doesn't seem to detect the audio stream (v. 1.8.122.18 doesn't either). This under XP SP3 as well as under Vista.
I tried Gabest too, but unfortunately sofar to no avail.
Moving this thread to "Bug Reports and Codecs" forum.

P.S.: Funny movie (especially with sound as audible with this video in i.a. the player-part of "Any Video Converter")

Hello,

The link works, and has been since I posted it.

FYI - I tried Nero 9, Nero-Vision. This player/converter can not play my files !
(Dont buy this product if you like HD formats ! -I am trying to get a refond)
Then I tried Pegasus TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress, this converts the files just great !
But I really just need a player that plays great, like BSPlayer ...
If only i could get the sound ...

Strange, I can play audio or vide, no player on my PC can play both. KMP, MPC, VLC :D
No Haali installed.
