Default [CONFIRMED +fix] Hungarian language version mayor bug.

In the new BS.Player FREE 2.57 version the hungarian lenguage pack is 100% useless, the special hungarian characters line é, á , ő , ű ,ü ect... do not displayed correctly, just shows @, &, ~, and other meaningless symbols, requires aid.

I assume you're talking about 1050-build? (v.2.57.1050)
If not please update and forget what's following!
If it is 1050 build:
This language pack is UTF-8 coded (as it should be).
Maybe your PC has some trouble with that.
You could try:
Attached Files
File Type: lng Hungarian_ANSI.lng (40.8 KB, 93 views)
File Type: lng HungarianUnicode.lng (81.5 KB, 49 views)

I had the same problem since Build 1050 on a fresh new Windows 7 system.

Thanks for the language files, Hungarian_ANSI.lng is good, solved the problem.

Apparently ANSI version solved this user's problem.
Then maybe this issue is also related to this: http://forum.bsplayer.com/bug-report...html#post43426 ?

Hi,

in this build the Hungarian localization is broken, something went wrong with the character encoding. Picture: http://i54.tinypic.com/14xldf.jpg

I moved your post to this thread (which you could also have found easily).
As indicated in it, maybe download and try ANSI language version for the time being.

Hungarian translation file in utf8 is incorectly encoded. Please use good text program such as ultra edit or similar.

Default same problem - solution for win xp

hi,

we've had the same problem with version 2.57 load 1051 on a Windows XP SP2: the special characters in Hungarian were all garbled, making the menus literally unreadable.

Plus, none of the 2 supplied files solved the problem (unless the method I was following was wrong : save the files in Program Files/Webteh/BSplayer/lang, restart the app and try to select either of the 2 new files with the strange long names from the menu languages >> when doing this, everything stayed in English or garbled Hungarian, whichever language I had before. As if the files had just no effect).

In the end, what did the trick was the following:

take the original Hungarian.lng, right-click, Open, select Notepad to open with, and in Notepad, do Save as. In the dialog box that comes, on the bottom where there is "Encoding", change that to ANSI and save it like this.

Worked like a charm!

Default Hungarian translation encoding error

I don't know, this is the right place to report, but you can remove this post if not ;}.
Upgraded 2.34 -> 2.57
The accent chars below displayed as multi-byte chars. I presume UTF-8 file displayed in iso-8859-2 (hungarian locale), and thats causing this.
áéűőúöüó -> this should be displayed instead of ĂŁ¤

For example, the first menuitem should be "Fájl megnyitása..." and so on.

In stead of removing your post I just moved it.
Please read the thread to which I moved/attached your post.
